Job summary

Hollybank Trustees Ltd in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary, Ireland, is seeking a General Operative to train and become proficient in running a Casein Plant and related processes.

The role involves producing Casein/Caseinate and whey products and maintaining strict hygiene and traceability. Responsibilities include hourly testing of moisture, pH and sediment, monitoring silos and filtration systems, following GMPs/SOPs, completing records, and working rotating shift patterns across days and cycles.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to monitor production processes and read panel room data.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts (days/cycles).
• Strong attention to detail and concentration for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Produce Casein/Caseinate and whey products for processing.
• Test moisture, pH, and sediment hourly; record results.
• Monitor whey fines and silo temps/levels/dates.
• Monitor UO/NF, RO, UF for flow, pressure, solids & protein, temp, production length, and final pH.
• Follow GMPs/SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Clean-in-Place (CIP) and maintain hygiene.
• Maintain records for traceability and safety; keep area clean.
• Maintain a safe environment; report incidents.
• Adhere to zoning procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by plant management.
• Rotate shifts: days, two cycle, three and four cycle rotating shifts.
