Job summary

Tirlán in Ireland is looking for an energetic, entry level Shift Manager to join the Whey Plant at Ballyragget. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll lead the shift, drive safe practices, and ensure smooth production through effective team coordination.

You’ll work with experienced operators, apply lean methods, and develop skills in problem solving, quality, and efficiency to meet customer requirements and support Europe’s largest integrated dairy processing site.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily shift to ensure smooth production.
• Apply safe systems and lean/6 Sigma approaches to improve processes.
• Coordinate activities to maximise throughput and meet customer needs.
• Provide leadership and resolve people-related issues on shift.
• Lead shift handover meetings and drive KPI performance.
• Coach and train team members to improve multi-skilling.
