Presidio IT Recruitment in Dublin seeks an IT Security Manager for a hybrid contract role to provide hands-on leadership, governance, and operational oversight of cybersecurity across the organisation. You will own cybersecurity risk, oversee third‑party security providers, and ensure a proportionate, auditable security posture for a public‑sector client with a strong day rate and potential extension.

Requirements include 7+ years in an IT security management role and IT security qualifications

Qualifications

• 7+ years in an IT security management role.
• Qualifications in IT security such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA.
• Experience with governance, risk and compliance programs.

Responsabilités

• Establish and operate a practical security governance framework.
• Define and maintain supplier operating model and responsibilities (RACI).
• Develop and manage a prioritised cybersecurity roadmap.
• Provide regular executive-level reporting on risk, incidents, and overall security posture.
• Own and maintain the IT and cybersecurity risk register, including risk identification, assessment, and treatment tracking.
• Conduct and facilitate risk assessments across systems and services.
• Provide support for audit and compliance activities (e.g. GDPR, NIS2 readiness, internal/external audit).
• Establish and operate a structured third-party / vendor security risk management process.
• Lead delivery of third-party risk assessments across suppliers and service providers.
• Develop, maintain, and own the Incident Response Plan.
• Identify and address security gaps not covered by shared services.
