Job summary

Workday in Ireland is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our Security Architecture team. You will collaborate with development and security champions to embed secure-by-design practices and drive secure software across Workday services and cloud platforms.

The role requires 5+ years in cyber security or related fields, 2+ years in public cloud (GCP/AWS), and hands-on knowledge of authentication, encryption, and threat modeling. Hybrid work model with in-office collaboration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cyber Security Engineering, Software Engineering, or Public Cloud Platform Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with public cloud technologies, automation and cloud native applications (GCP/AWS).
• Deep understanding of security concepts including authentication, authorization, RBAC, encryption and penetration testing.

Responsibilities

• Embed secure-by-design and secure-by-default into technologies including supporting threat modeling activities across the Workday development community.
• Critically assessing system architecture and suggesting improvements & controls for new and existing services.
• Fostering a positive security attitude among service teams you partner with.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
