Job summary

Analog Devices, Inc. is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer in Ireland to develop real-time firmware for BMS controllers. You will work on low‑level drivers, system interfaces, and battery‑algorithm validation with direct customer interaction.

The role requires Embedded C and Python expertise, proficiency with I2C/SPI/CAN, and hands-on lab work with test equipment. You will collaborate with hardware teams and deliver complete validation packages.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Computer Engineering.
  • 4–8 years of embedded firmware/system development experience.
  • Proficiency in Embedded C and low‑level MCU development.
  • Strong Python skills for scripting, test automation or validation.
  • Deep understanding of I2C, SPI and CAN protocols.
  • Experience with lab instruments: oscilloscopes, amplifiers, function generators.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and test embedded firmware in Embedded C for real-time BMS controllers.
  • Design low-level drivers and system interfaces using I2C, SPI, and CAN.
  • Use Python for test automation, scripting, and system-level validation.
  • Work with PCB schematics and collaborate with hardware teams for bring-up and debugging.
  • Support and validate battery algorithms (SoC, SoH).
  • Interface with customers to support system integration, troubleshooting and performance tuning.
  • Deliver high-quality products and demos, validation packages, and handoffs.
  • Perform lab validation using oscilloscopes, amplifiers and function generators.
  • Create technical documentation and contribute to reference designs and test reports.
