Job summary

Glenveagh Properties PLC is seeking a Customer Care Foreperson to lead on-site activities across residential projects in Ireland. You will manage day-to-day works, coordinate trades, and ensure timely delivery with a strong emphasis on quality and safety.

The role requires a degree or diploma in construction management or a related trade, plus substantial foreperson experience in residential builds. A company vehicle, health insurance, pension, and CPD support are offered.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in Construction Management or equivalent trade qualification.
  • Significant experience in a similar foreperson role within residential construction.
  • Excellent knowledge of trades, particularly carpentry, with up-to-date building regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Attend various sites and carry out works as directed by the customer care team.
  • Assist construction teams as needed to support homes and resources.
  • Update the team on issues and information needs.
  • Coordinate tasks across trades (carpentry, drylining, decoration, sealant, mastic, leak remediation, flooring).
  • Liaise with stakeholders and provide a key point of contact for purchasers.
  • Plan and allocate resources to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure works comply with building regulations, health and safety, and environmental standards.
  • Report weekly/monthly data to site teams and partners; maintain a professional company image.

The Customer Care Foreperson is responsible for attending various sites and carrying out works set out by customer care team.

Key responsibilities and duties

  • Ensure daywork sheets are completed with each customer on each day and signed off and send back to relevant customer care person
  • Assisting construction teams from time to time if required to assist with homes needing to close and resource required
  • Updating the team on any issues unable to do or if need further information
  • Drylining, Decoration, Sealant, Mastic, Leak remedial works, Investigating issues before we assign to relevant contractor, Carpentry, Flooring, Mechanical (some elements)
  • Liaise and communicate closely with the different stakeholders
  • Provide key point of contact for purchasers
  • Coordinate work from long term call backs
  • Effective planning of tasks and efficiently organising resources in order to meet deadlines
  • Ensure works are carried out in compliance with building regulations, health and safety and environmental standards and to a high quality
  • Report weekly and monthly data and information to site teams, key stakeholders and partners
  • Maintain a professional image for the company in all dealings with public and stakeholders
  • Other ad hoc duties that the Company may require from time to time
  • Degree / Higher Diploma qualification in Construction Management and/ or equivalent trade qualification desirable
  • Significant experience in a similar position
  • Excellent knowledge of trades, and in particular carpentry
  • Background in residential construction
  • Excellent working knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
  • An ability to achieve demanding time and quality targets
