Salary: €40,000 - €50,000 DOE

About the Opportunity

Our client, a well-established organisation within the chemical distribution and supply sector, is seeking a motivated and organised Customer Account Executive to join their commercial team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in sales support, internal sales, customer service, account coordination, or field sales who is looking to develop their career in a customer-facing commercial role.

Working closely with key customers and internal teams, the successful candidate will help build strong client relationships, support account growth, and ensure an excellent customer experience across the sales process.

The Role

Customer Account Executive will support the management and growth of existing customer accounts while also identifying opportunities to develop new business relationships.

This role combines customer engagement, account support, sales administration, and relationship management, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with customers while maintaining high levels of organisation and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Customer & Account Support

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
• Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries.
• Support account growth by identifying opportunities within existing accounts.
• Ensure customers receive a high level of service and support.
• Conduct regular customer visits and maintain ongoing communication.

Sales & Business Development

• Identify potential new business opportunities within target markets.
• Support sales activities and customer engagement initiatives.
• Prepare quotations and customer proposals.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and update customer records.
• Assist in achieving team sales and growth objectives.

Administration & Internal Coordination

• Maintain accurate CRM records and customer information.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance and other internal departments to support customer requirements.
• Assist with order management, product availability updates and customer communications.
• Provide sales reports and administrative support when required.
• Ensure customer activity and account information is updated and maintained.

Key Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing sales, administration or account support role.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Comfortable managing multiple tasks and customer interactions.
• Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• A proactive and positive approach to customer service.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

Desirable

• Experience within a B2B environment.
• Exposure to manufacturing, distribution, industrial, chemical, construction or related sectors.
• Understanding of sales processes and customer account management.
