Job summary

BaxterStorey is seeking a Catering Stores Assistant for its Culinary Education Environment at TUS Moylish Training Suite. The role runs Monday to Friday during the academic term with a 39-hour workweek and some weekend/evening work.

Qualifications

• Food handling experience.
• HACCP and Food Safety knowledge.
• Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
• Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
• Evidence of personal development through further skills development.
• IT Skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact between the location and relevant departments.
• Supervise and support catering team as required.
• Assist with induction, training and ongoing development of team members.
• Implement and maintain company safety management systems and ensure team understand and follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Carry out staff risk assessments, monthly audits and Health & Safety staff meetings.
• Deliver Training Tuesdays and Star Safety talks.
• Report accidents, safety alerts and near misses via the company portal.
• Accurately prepare and administer staff payroll, including hours worked and attendance.
• Prepare for internal audits and the annual Nativis Audit with documentation ready.
• Provide backup information for monthly invoices.
• Prepare materials and equipment for practical classes and demonstrations.
• Accept material deliveries and replenish stocks as needed.
• Re-store equipment and materials and report damages.
• Prepare workshop or laboratory for classes or demonstrations.
• Maintain stores, kitchens and related areas in clean, tidy condition.
