Job summary

3D Personnel is seeking a Civil Engineer with at least 2 years postgraduate experience to support site operations in Dublin. You will monitor works, review drawings and ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years postgraduate experience.
• Operational knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Excellent communication and planning skills.

• Self-motivated with a drive to achieve results.
• IT literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage and interpret construction drawings from engineers.
• Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, planners and site workforce.
• Oversee day-to-day site management and supervise subcontractors.
• Plan work and organise plant and site facilities to meet deadlines.
• Check plans, drawings and setting out.
• Oversee health and safety management on site.
• Prepare reports for senior site manager and project manager.
• Pro-active in resolving technical difficulties and report outcomes.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Job description

Main Responsibilities:

• Supporting the CSA Manager with daily operations as required
• Acting as the main technical adviser on site for specialist subcontractors, concrete contractor, steel work contractor, cladding contractor
• Ensuring that all materials used, and work performed are as per specifications;
• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the construction design drawings supplied by the structural engineer, architect & MEP engineers
• Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project;
• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site labour force and the work of any subcontractors;
• Planning the work and efficiently organising the plant and site facilities in order to meet agreed deadlines;
• Checking plans, drawings and subcontractor setting out co – ordination;
• Overseeing quality control and the implementation of the company management of health & safety on site;
• Preparing reports as required for senior site manager & project manager;
• Pro – active approach to resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise and associated reporting to senior site manager and project manager.
• Any other duties as required by management.

Education / Experience:

• A Degree Civil Engineering or other relevant discipline
