Job summary

ManpowerGroup Ireland seeks a Credit & Underwriting Manager to lead a busy team in South Kerry. This permanent, on-site role suits a senior people manager with banking or lending experience, capable of shaping performance and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will develop policies, oversee governance, risk management and stakeholder relationships, and coach colleagues to maximise capability and service quality while delivering solid business outcomes.

Our client, a successful and growing financial services organisation, is seeking an experienced Credit & underwriting Manager to lead a busy credit and underwriting function based in South Kerry. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior experienced people manager from a banking, financial services, lending or regulated environment to join a well-established business with strong growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage and develop a team within a busy credit and underwriting function.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Previous management experience within banking, financial services, lending, credit risk or another regulated environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Good understanding of governance, compliance, policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in underwriting, lending or credit operations would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong systems, reporting and process improvement experience.
  • Ability to balance customer service, commercial objectives and risk management.
  • A proactive and hands-on management style.
