Qualifications

  • APA Accreditation – QFA Loans and QFA Regulations is essential.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing or customer service role.
  • Strong experience engaging with customers over the telephone.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer engagement, influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately review information and documentation.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple applications and priorities.
  • Ability to work within policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Previous experience within a financial institution, banking, lending or credit environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers throughout the credit application and decision-making process.
  • Handle customer queries and provide clear, accurate information regarding credit applications and requirements.
  • Review and assess credit applications in line with established policies, procedures and lending criteria.
  • Gather and evaluate relevant customer information to support credit decisions.
  • Communicate credit decisions and requirements to customers in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Use strong negotiation and influencing skills to achieve appropriate outcomes for customers and the business.
  • Handle customer interactions primarily over the phone, ensuring a high standard of service.
  • Ensure all customer information and documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
  • Identify any issues, risks or discrepancies within applications and escape where appropriate.
  • Work within all relevant regulatory, compliance and data protection requirements.
  • Maintain a strong focus on accuracy, quality and customer experience.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and internal teams to support the overall credit journey.

Job description

Location: Airside OR Central Park, Sandyford

Contract: 12-month contract

Working Model: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

Working Hours: 37 hours per week

Pay: €40,000 per year one

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Official to join a dynamic and customer-focused financial services environment on a 12-month contract.

As a Credit Official, you will play an important role in supporting customers throughout their credit journey. You will engage directly with customers, review credit applications, gather and assess relevant information, and support the credit decision-making process while ensuring all activities are carried out in line with company policies, regulatory requirements, and high standards of customer service.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in customer service, credit, lending or financial services who enjoys working with customers and has strong communication and negotiation skills.

What will my day to day look like?
