Position Summary

(Overview of key purpose and accountability of the role)

The TDGF Credit Risk Reporting Specialist will support the TDGF Head of Credit and the TDGF CRO in the management of TDGF’s Credit Risk reporting, analytics and data quality. This role requires strong technical capability, advanced analytical judgment, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for senior stakeholders. A background and experience in credit risk reporting is also preferable. The successful candidate will drive process improvements, strengthen reporting controls, and leverage tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel, and AI-enabled solutions to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Specific Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of credit risk reports, including monitoring internal policy limits, performing variance analysis, and explaining key drivers for management and senior stakeholder review
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain analytical processes using technical tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, Excel, and internal risk data systems to improve reporting accuracy, automation, and scalability
  • Act as a subject matter expert for credit risk reporting and analytics across TDGF, including exposure, limit, rating, and portfolio trend analysis
  • Lead or support TDGF risk initiatives across 2nd line credit reporting, including data enhancement, dashboard development, reporting transformation, regulatory considerations, and control improvements
  • Perform data quality reviews, reconciliations, and root-cause analysis to identify anomalies, reporting issues, and opportunities to strengthen governance and controls
  • Respond to complex ad-hoc analytical requests accurately and in a timely manner, including developing repeatable solutions where appropriate
  • Build strong relationships across TDGF and TDBG (Enterprise) Risk Management, Finance, Capital/Treasury, Technology, Data, and business partners to deliver high-quality analytical outputs and resolve reporting issues
  • Support the TDGF Head of Credit in the expansion of 2nd line Credit Risk reporting capabilities to support strategic growth and development of TD Securities’ European business
  • Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of local credit risk reporting of credit exposures and credit risk management activities, providing ad-hoc bespoke reporting on specific sectors or portfolios when appropriate
  • Provide analysis, interpretation and consolidation of credit risk reporting and outputs for submission to TDGF Senior Management and Committees, identifying opportunities for enhancements and automation where possible
  • Review breaches of credit risk limits, ensuring any limit exceptions are escalated and actioned appropriately
  • Monitor BCBS and European regulatory publications with regard to credit risk reporting and lead the related development and implementation of regulatory change for TDGF, including participation in enterprise-wide regulatory compliance programmes
  • Support the TDGF Head of Credit in regulatory engagement, queries and remediation activities
  • Support the TDGF Head of Credit in the management of concentration risk in TDGF including country risk, industry risk, and counterparty group exposure in the portfolios in accordance with policy, with particular regard to local legal entity capital management and related reporting considerations such as Connected Clients and Large Exposure management
  • Provide oversight, monitoring, control and challenge of outsourced credit risk reporting activities
  • Responsible for good conduct and for contributing to the identification and management of Conduct Risk within the Risk Management function
Risk Management Responsibilities
  • Responsible for identifying and reporting Operational Risk Events in accordance with policy
  • Responsible, along with all colleagues, to contribute in a positive way to TDGF’s reputation and the management of Reputational Risk.
