Horseware Ireland, a leading Irish equestrian brand, invites applications for a 12-month maternity cover in its finance team. The role focuses on accounts receivable, credit risk management, and day-to-day financial administration within an international environment.

You will maintain accurate records, support month-end processes, and collaborate with sales and service to drive responsible growth. A strong Excel/ERP background and credit-insurance experience are valued.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Credit Analyst, Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or similar finance-related role.
• Demonstrable experience with trade credit insurance providers and exposure monitoring.
• Experience interpreting commercial credit reports from Dun & Bradstreet, Experian, Creditsafe, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Advanced Excel and MS Office skills; ERP experience.
• Experience in an international or multinational business environment.

Responsibilities

• Record, reconcile, and allocate incoming customer payments accurately and on time.
• Investigate payment discrepancies, unallocated cash, and account reconciliation issues.
• Perform regular customer account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Assist with month-end reporting, reconciliations, and audits.
• Maintain complete, accurate financial records in line with company standards.
• Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers and monitor risk.
• Liaise with insurers on credit insurance and policy matters.
• Support management with credit insurance reporting and exposure analysis.
• Engage with sales and customer service to balance growth with controls.
• Handle daily banking transactions and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and management information.
