Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Country Manager based in Ireland.

Lead market expansion and business growth across the European cryptocurrency and digital finance landscape in a high-growth, international environment. In this strategic leadership role, you will drive regional business development, oversee local operations, and strengthen the organization’s market presence. You will combine hands‑on marketing expertise with strategic partnerships, community engagement, and user acquisition initiatives to deliver measurable commercial results. Building relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), financial institutions, and ecosystem partners will be central to your success. You will also navigate the evolving European regulatory landscape, ensuring regional initiatives align with applicable compliance requirements. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced fintech or crypto leader who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is motivated to shape the future of digital finance across Europe.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy for the European market, driving regional expansion, user acquisition, revenue growth, and long‑term commercial success.
  • Lead regional operations, coordinating marketing campaigns, industry events, community initiatives, and strategic partnership development.
  • Increase brand awareness and user engagement through targeted marketing strategies, social media initiatives, local events, and community‑building activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), financial institutions, fintech organizations, industry stakeholders, and strategic ecosystem partners.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities by monitoring market trends, customer behavior, competitor activity, and emerging developments within the European cryptocurrency and fintech sectors.
  • Oversee regional regulatory considerations and collaborate with Legal and Compliance teams to support alignment with applicable European frameworks, including MiCA/MiCAR, MiFID, and electronic money institution (EMI) requirements, where relevant.
  • Work closely with global Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Compliance teams to align regional strategies with broader business objectives and deliver effective local initiatives.
  • Monitor regional business performance, establish measurable objectives, evaluate key performance indicators, and implement improvements to maximize growth and operational efficiency.
  • Lead, mentor, and support regional team members, fostering a high‑performance culture built on accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Represent the organization in relevant industry events, networking opportunities, and strategic discussions to strengthen its reputation and influence across the European market.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline; an MBA or equivalent advanced qualification is a strong advantage.
  • At least 10 years of leadership experience in marketing, business development, general management, or related functions within technology, fintech, or financial services.
  • Previous experience as a Country Manager or senior executive within the cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital asset industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the European cryptocurrency market, fintech ecosystem, consumer behavior, and regional competitive dynamics.
  • Knowledge of relevant European regulatory frameworks, including MiCA/MiCAR, MiFID, and EMI requirements, with the ability to work effectively alongside legal and compliance specialists.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing business growth strategies, leading marketing initiatives, acquiring users, and delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Proven experience building and managing strategic partnerships, particularly with KOLs, influencers, financial institutions, and other key players in the crypto or fintech ecosystem.
  • An established professional network across the DACH region and broader European cryptocurrency and fintech markets.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers and represent the organization externally.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to assess market opportunities, interpret performance data, and make informed business decisions.
  • A results-driven, adaptable mindset and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, international environment with evolving market conditions.
  • Fluency in English and at least one additional European language, such as German, French, Spanish, or Italian.
Benefits:
  • Professional development: Access to a dedicated Study Growth Fund to support continuous learning, skills development, and professional advancement.
