Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Cost Manager to join our Cork team, delivering cost consultancy and project support from concept to completion. Lead estimates, procurement advice, and post-contract administration, with potential to manage a team on larger projects.

You will partner with diverse clients and internal teams, acting as a trusted advisor to shape outcomes across Ireland and beyond. Hybrid working and continuous professional development are offered.

Qualifications

• MRICS, AssocRICS or equivalent chartered status, or working towards.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in cost consultancy or quantity surveying, preferably in professional services.
• Strong knowledge of Irish procurement, tendering practices and standard forms (RIAI, GCCC).
• Excellent communication and ability to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and prepare cost estimates across design and construction stages.
• Provide procurement advice, tender analysis, and reports.
• Lead and manage client accounts and attend key meetings.
• Review contracts and participate in contract negotiations.
• Evaluate change orders and contractor pricing throughout projects.
• Deliver cost controls, value engineering, and cashflow forecasting.
• Mentor junior cost consultants and assist with business development.
