Job summary

Aware is seeking a Corporate & Foundations Development Manager for a maternity cover contract based at our Head Office in Dublin 4. The role focuses on securing income from corporate funders, foundations and government sources to fund services we provide across Ireland.

You will develop and manage donor relationships, inform funders of funding needs, submit grant applications and report on impact, while collaborating with the wider Fundraising team to meet annual targets.

Qualifications

• Excellent analytical, written and presentation skills to report on impact and make the case for support in applications.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships to the benefit of Aware and partners.
• Understanding of corporate, foundation and philanthropy structures.
• Ability to solve problems and be flexible.
• Good understanding of English language, and writing.
• 3+ years in a similar role or in account management with high value clients.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Database management.

Aware is the national charity providing support, therapy, education and information to those affected by depression, bipolar and anxiety. Founded in 1985, for over 40 years Aware has been supporting individuals experiencing these conditions and their loved ones.

We engage with tens of thousands of people throughout the year through our free services both online and in person available across Ireland.

We have a network of over 300 dedicated volunteers and staff who support the delivery of these services across our Support Line, Counselling Service, Solace Cafés, Support Groups, and Support Mail.

The Role

This is a maternity leave cover contract for minimum 6 months.

The Corporate & Foundations Development Manager has responsibility to deliver income from corporate, foundation, state sources to fund the services of Aware. The delivery of this income will require account development and management, while working as part of the overall fundraising team.
