Job summary

Brightwater Recruitment represents a well-established chartered accountancy firm based in Co. Meath, Ireland. They seek a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA accountant with strong technical skills and commercial curiosity to develop a career in corporate finance and business advisory.

You will gain exposure to business valuations, M&A, financial modelling, fundraising and strategic advisory, working with business owners and senior decision-makers across various assignments.

Qualifications

• Recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA accountant.
• Training completed within an accountancy practice or professional services environment.
• Strong financial accounting and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with business valuations for owner-managed businesses and SMEs.
• Assist with merger and acquisition projects.
• Prepare financial analysis to support investment and transaction decisions.
• Contribute to business plans, funding applications and information memoranda.
• Carry out industry, market and competitor research.
• Prepare financial models and cashflow forecasts.
• Analyse historical financial performance and future projections.
• Review management accounts and financial statements as part of advisory assignments.
• Assist in identifying key commercial and financial risks.
• Participate in client meetings alongside senior team members.
• Prepare reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
• Respond to client queries in a timely and professional manner.
• Support Directors and Managers in delivering high-quality advisory services.
• Maintain project files and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of corporate finance reports and presentations.
• Develop technical expertise through training and professional development.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across audit, accounts and tax departments.

With a strong and diverse client base, they have been delivering high-quality accountancy services for over 30 years, supporting a varied portfolio of clients across audit, non-audit and sole trader services, spanning a wide range of industries and sectors.

They are seeking a recently qualified ACA, ACCA or CPA accountant with strong technical skills, commercial curiosity and a genuine interest in developing a career in corporate finance and business advisory.

The role offers direct exposure to business owners, entrepreneurs and senior decisionmakers across a broad range of assignments, including business valuations, financial due diligence, financial modelling, mergers and acquisitions, fundraising and strategic advisory projects.
