Job summary

Zest Optical recruitment partners with an independent Cork opticians group to recruit a full-time Optical Practice Manager. The Cork practice offers a high-quality, patient-first environment with a strong local reputation and advanced technology.

The role manages a dispensing and support team, ensuring exceptional patient care and service standards. Salary up to €54,000 DOE, with 5 weeks annual leave, healthcare, and ongoing professional development support.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Dispensing Optician CORU registered or eligible to register.
• Previous management or supervisory experience is beneficial, though applicants stepping into their first management role are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in fashion, eyewear brands, and premium dispensing.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Strong team player with a supportive leadership style.
• Confident to make tailored, bold recommendations when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the practice.
• Train, support, and develop the dispensing and support team.
• Handle complex dispensing and patient queries with confidence.
• Create a professional, supportive and enjoyable working environment.
• Full-time position 5 days per week including Saturdays; hours 09:00–17:30.
