Job summary

Global Professional Consultants in Cork is seeking an experienced Planner / Scheduler to develop, manage and maintain project programmes for timely delivery of construction projects within budget and quality targets.

You will collaborate with project teams, subcontractors and clients to optimise timelines, manage resources and mitigate delays across multiple live schemes. Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project and Asta Powerproject is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management or related field
• 3–5+ years in planning and scheduling within construction
• Experience on medium to large-scale construction projects
• Familiarity with Irish construction standards and delivery practices

Responsibilities

• Develop tender-stage construction programmes and supporting submissions with estimating
• Produce and maintain detailed construction schedules using MS Project, Primavera P6; Asta Powerproject advantageous
• Break down scope into work packages and sequences
• Monitor progress against baselines and provide schedule updates
• Identify deviations and carry out critical path analysis
• Coordinate with project managers, site teams and subcontractors to validate information
• Chair progress meetings and track delays and corrective actions
• Identify scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Assess impact of scope changes, delays and events on time and cost
• Prepare and present reports including Gantt charts and dashboards
• Communicate schedule metrics and forecasts to stakeholders
• Support continuous improvement in planning practices
• Contribute to lessons learned and improvements across projects
