Northern Trust in Ireland is seeking an Associate Specialist, Control Tester to join our centralized 1LoD Control Testing team. You will actively execute control test plans and support testers in their execution while engaging with stakeholders across units.

The role offers exposure to multiple operations and risk areas with opportunities to specialize. A strong analytical mindset and collaborative communication with senior management are valued.

Qualifications

• Several years of risk and control experience.
• Experience in financial services industry.
• Fund Accounting or Transfer Agency experience an advantage
• Deep understanding of control frameworks and testing methodologies
• Self-motivated with strong collaboration and communication skills across levels
• Excellent analytics skills and attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including mentoring
• Ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Responsibilities

• Leads controls testing execution including walkthroughs, design, and operating effectiveness testing.
• Performs quality review over testing workpapers to ensure method and quality expectations.
• Lead representative to engage stakeholders in critical testing phases.
• Provides support to Testers to ensure effective testing.
• Monitors all testing phases and escalates deficiencies or delays.
• Compiles and socializes monthly/quarterly/annual test results and remediation status.
• Works with business partners to obtain remediation action plans and track progress.
• Assist with control projects and risk initiatives as directed.
