Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd in Dublin is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join the PACU team in a hospital setting. You will provide high-quality postoperative care, monitor patients, and support multidisciplinary colleagues in a busy recovery unit.

The ideal candidate is NMBI registered, with current BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year post-registration experience in an acute hospital. Flexibility for shifts and on-call is required.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Work effectively within the multidisciplinary team, supporting quality patient care through strong communication, leadership, and clinical expertise.
• Manage time and resources efficiently while delivering safe, evidence-based care in line with NMBI guidelines and current anaesthetic nursing practice.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and support the Clinical Coordinator and department operations as required.
• Ensure safe use of equipment, adequate supplies, adherence to internal controls, and participation in all regulatory/mandatory surveys.
• Assess patients individually, develop and implement care plans, provide appropriate delegation, and maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Promote a safe clinical environment by following all hospital policies, standard precautions, and correct infection-control procedures.
• Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, physicians, patients, and families, and contribute to problem-solving and quality improvement.
