Job summary

RecruitNet International Ltd in Dublin is seeking an experienced Staff Nurse to join the PACU team in a hospital setting. You will provide high-quality postoperative care, monitor patients, and support multidisciplinary colleagues in a busy recovery unit.

The ideal candidate is NMBI registered, with current BLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year post-registration experience in an acute hospital. Flexibility for shifts and on-call is required.

Qualifications

• NMBI Registered General Nurse with current BLS and ACLS
• Minimum of 1 year post-registration experience in an acute hospital
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
• Flexible for rotations, night duty and theatre on-call
• Up-to-date BLS and ACLS certifications

Responsibilities

• Work within multidisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care
• Manage time and resources while delivering safe evidence-based care
• Support Clinical Coordinator and department operations as required
• Ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to controls
• Assess patients, develop care plans and maintain documentation
• Promote a safe clinical environment following hospital policies
• Maintain effective relationships with colleagues, patients and families
• Provide cross-cover within PACU and assist coworkers as needed
• Engage in education, precepting and performance reviews
• Be flexible to meet service needs across departments
