Northern Trust in Ireland is seeking a skilled professional to join the Private Equity Department, handling end‑to‑end administration of funds and maintaining high standards of accuracy and client service.
You will prepare interim and annual financial statements, liaise with auditors, ensure regulatory filings, and support operating models from fund inception, with on‑the‑job training and strong collaboration within a high‑performing team.
Northern Trust, a Fortune 500 company, is a globally recognized, award-winning financial institution that has been in continuous operation since 1889. Northern Trust is proud to provide innovative financial services and guidance to the world’s most successful individuals, families, and institutions by remaining true to our enduring principles of service, expertise, and integrity. With more than 130 years of financial experience and over 22,000 partners, we serve the world’s most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.
Reporting to a Team Leader within the Private Equity Department, the successful candidate will play a key role in the end‑to‑end administration of Private Equity funds, gaining broad exposure across fund accounting, transfer agency and financial reporting. This is a role for someone who enjoys ownership, client interaction and working in a high‑performing environment, where standards are high but support and development are just as strong.
We are open to candidates with a range of accountancy backgrounds, including practice, audit and industry, particularly those who have worked in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments and have a solid understanding of debits and credits. While prior Private Equity experience is beneficial, it is not essential, as the team provides excellent on‑site training and support to help new joiners build specialist knowledge in this area. That said, the ideal candidate will bring the following experience and attributes:
Exposure to top‑tier global Private Equity clients
A genuinely collaborative, experienced and supportive team culture
Strong investment in systems, technology and process improvement
Clear opportunities to deepen technical expertise and progress within a growing department
The chance to be part of an award‑winning Private Equity platform with real momentum
