Job summary

Red Chair Recruitment is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to oversee road maintenance contracts with Kerry and Cork County Councils. A driving licence and ability to travel across locations in County Cork and Kerry are required.

The role focuses on managing day-to-day operations, costs, crews and materials to deliver projects on time and to spec. Competitive salary is offered based on experience, in the €60–€65k range.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of construction management experience, with road project focus.
• Strong proficiency in project management tools.

Job description

We are presently recruiting for a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to manage road maintenance contracts with Kerry and Cork County Councils. You will come with a background in Civil Engineering, road servicing or quantity surveying and will be required to manage all aspects of day to day operations, costs, crews and materials for each project. A full, clean driving licence along with the ability to drive to various locations is mandatory in County Cork and Kerry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage site resources (labor, materials, equipment)
• Coordinate sub-contractors and suppliers
• Ensure work aligns with project plans, specs, and schedules
• Monitor progress and update senior management
