Job summary

MMD Construction is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Cork team. You will report to the Contracts Manager and ensure projects meet budget, timelines, safety and quality standards.

You will lead coordination of drawings, procurement, reporting and stakeholder liaison while developing programmes, managing teams and maintaining high standards across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Third Level Qualification in Construction Discipline.
• Background in engineering is desirable.
• Have at least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role.
• Proven ability to advise clients and design teams on value, risks, and programme in a holistic way.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and negotiation skills.
• Committed to working as part of a team and progress career development.
• Be motivated, organised and have excellent time management skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams.
• Be tech savy and have good computer skills.
• Good knowledge of construction material and processes.
• Be able to multitask with a strong understanding of core manager duties.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the management, coordination and execution of the scope of works for each project, whilst meeting the project objectives set out for EHS, design, technical, quality, programme and commercial.
• Coordinate and monitor and review construction drawings, specifications and work requirements.
• Allocate and manage resources to ensure that they are available when they are needed throughout the construction projects
• Determine the necessary equipment, materials, and manpower needed
• Manage quality control for the lifecycle of the project and ensure all project documentation is managed correctly
• Ensure material and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule
• Prepare reports on Project Management Software
• Modify and update the project programme with senior management to ensure key milestones are met.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Legislation
• Ensure compliance with BC(A)R
• Collaborate with subcontractors, engineers, architects and key team members of the project team
