Job summary

Burns Construction is seeking a Construction Planner / Programmer to develop, maintain and update construction programmes across live Galway projects, using Microsoft Project or similar planning software. You’ll work closely with project managers, site teams and design consultants to keep programmes accurate and on track.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing and managing construction programmes, ideally in Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or Asta Powerproject.
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, critical path method and resource planning.
• Background in construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Comfortable working with site teams, subcontractors and design consultants.
• Procore experience an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed construction programmes for tenders and live projects using Microsoft Project (or similar software).
• Sequence construction activities, allocate resources and identify the critical path.
• Produce and update short-term look-ahead programmes in coordination with site management.
• Track progress against programme and report on delays, risks and mitigation measures.
• Liaise with project managers, site staff, subcontractors and the design team to ensure programme accuracy.
• Prepare programme reports and updates for client and internal review.
• Support tender programme preparation for new project bids.
• Coordinate programme information with Procore where relevant.

This role works closely with our project managers, site teams and design consultants to keep every project programme accurate and on track.
