Job summary

Lead Group Ireland are recruiting a Construction Manager to join the Capital Projects team on a major pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Ringaskiddy, Cork. You will oversee delivery from planning through commissioning while upholding safety, quality and project execution.

The role requires Level 8 qualification and 8+ years' experience in pharma/manufacturing construction, with strong contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years' experience managing construction projects within pharma/manufacturing environments.
• Experience driving projects through full lifecycle from planning to commissioning.
• Excellent contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation and best practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple capital construction projects across an active pharmaceutical manufacturing site.
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery.
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with site Health & Safety procedures.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, quality, and construction progress.
• Identify and manage project risks with effective mitigation.
• Build relationships with key stakeholders and provide regular project updates.

Lead Group Ireland are currently recruiting for a Construction Manager to join the Capital Projects team on a major pharmaceutical manufacturing site in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of multiple capital projects, managing construction activities from planning through to commissioning while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and project execution

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple capital construction projects across an active pharmaceutical manufacturing site
• Oversee the full project lifecycle from planning and design through construction, commissioning, and handover
• Coordinate contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery
• Drive a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with all site Health & Safety procedures
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, quality, and construction progress
• Identify and manage project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and provide regular project updates

Requirements

• Level 8 qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related engineering discipline
• Minimum of 8 years' experience managing construction projects within the pharmaceutical or other highly regulated manufacturing environment
• Proven experience managing projects through the complete project lifecycle
• Excellent contractor management and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong knowledge of construction health & safety legislation and best practice
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
