Job summary

Roadstone invites graduates to join its Construction Management Graduate Programme 2027 across Leinster and Munster, including Dublin, with the aim of developing technical, interpersonal, commercial and management skills.

The role supports Road Contracts division in planning road resurfacing projects, ensuring safety, quality and environmental standards while working under the Regional Contracts Manager.

• A relevant third level Qualification in Construction Management or Other Similar qualification.

• A clean driving licence will be required, as a company vehicle is supplied.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and progress health, safety and environmental standards.
• Learn & understand operation and maintenance requirements of mobile and fixed plant.
• Oversee safety and productivity are maintained.
• Be involved in process projects that target sustainability or efficiency improvements.
• In Road Contracts, plan road surfacing projects with safety and documentation including traffic management plans.
• In quarry locations, coordinate maintenance operations under guidance.
• Monitor output to meet targeted quality specifications.
• Communicate information and plans to employees, contractors and stakeholders.

Role: Construction Management Graduate

Reporting to: Regional Contracts Manager

Roadstone is the leading manufacturer and supplier of building materials in Ireland. Roadstone’s nationwide business includes the manufacture and distribution of a wide range of construction products including concrete, aggregates, asphalt and macadam, concrete blocks and paving products.

Graduates are invited to apply for the position of Construction Management Graduate. Successful candidates will be offered the opportunity to work with our Road Contracts division which plans and manages road resurfacing projects for major clients. The successful candidate will report to the Regional Contracts Manager.

This is specifically for our locations based in the Leinster and Munster areas. The successful candidate may be based in any or these areas including Dublin, Kildare, Meath, Cork, Kerry, Tipperary, Waterford, Limerick, Galway etc.

About the role

The candidate will have the following specific responsibilities:

• Ensure we maintain and progress our high health, safety and environmental standards.
• Learn & understand the operation and maintenance requirements of our mobile and fixed plant.
• Oversee our process to ensure safety and productivity are maintained.
• Be involved in process projects that target sustainability or efficiency improvements.
• In our Road Contracts division, there is significant involvement in planning road surfacing projects to ensure all safety and job specific documentation is in place including traffic management plans.
• In quarry locations, a key role is to co-ordinate and oversee maintenance operations under the guidance of location management.
• Monitor our output to ensure our jobs and products meet the targeted quality specifications.
• Ability to communicate information and plans effectively to both employees, contractors and other stakeholders who we work with.

Candidates should ideally possess:

• A relevant third level Qualification in Construction Management or Other Similar qualification.
