Job summary

Pivotal Recruitment Limited is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to support managers and staff in achieving high safety standards and zero tolerance for incidents. The role focuses on implementing and monitoring the Group Safety Management System across projects.

The successful candidate will work with directors, operation managers and project teams, ensure risk assessments are thorough, and promote safety best practices across the organisation. A competitive rewards package is available.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• 3+ years construction experience.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations and practices.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Maintain close working relationship with business teams to provide active assistance and advise on Safety Management System implementation.
• Participate in appointing competent persons for safety roles and coordinate training needs with managers.
• Ensure risk assessment processes are established for production, approval, communication, implementation and monitoring.
• Monitor procedures for lifting operations, temporary works, inductions, fire and emergencies, permits and other safety procedures.
• Participate in setting up and maintaining safety committees and liaise with safety managers and trade associations.
• Provide reports on health & safety performance to relevant managers.
