Job summary

O’Neill and Brennan is seeking an Environmental & Sustainability Advisor to join the team in Kildare. The role focuses on delivering environmental objectives across projects, ensuring compliance with environmental standards and supporting site teams to achieve sustainability targets.

You will conduct site visits, assist in external audits, engage with the supply chain on ESG requirements, and develop training and communications to drive continuous improvement across projects.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in an Environmental, Sustainability or similar role, ideally within the construction sector.
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Third Level qualification in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Construction or a related discipline.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Management Systems and ISO 14001.
  • Strong understanding of environmental legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and support to the Health Safety and Environmental Team.
  • Conduct site visits to review environmental and ESG related performance.
  • Assist in external audits.
  • Engage with our supply chain and vendors relating to environmental and sustainability requirements, performance and improvement.
  • Develop and deliver Environmental and ESG related training and communications.
  • Attend relevant HSE meetings as required.
  • Develop, maintain and foster collaborative relationships with the wider project team.
