Job description

Due to continued growth, new contracts and an extensive pipeline of work, one of Ireland’s top Civil & Marine Engineering Contractors is hiring a Contracts Manager for the Munster Region. This role would suit a Contracts Manager looking to progress to Director level.

Duties:

• Be the primary point of contact and responsible for running numerous projects within urban and rural environments, with particular attention to urban environments.
• Report directly to the Managing Director.
• Ability to view project through a commercial lens and have the ability to understand how projects are priced and works carried out.
• Ability to work across multiple projects with multiple project managers and teams.
• Ability to detail costs to complete values and claims narratives.
• Building successful relationships with Clients, Client Representatives and other 3rd party providers and stakeholders.
• Manage an existing team with communication and leadership skills that is both efficient, effective and motivational.
• Ability to liaise and coordinate seamlessly with multiple levels of Staff, Departments, Clients, Suppliers, Subcontractors, and any other stakeholders.
• Interested in developing current team structures and processes with the ability to introduce new people to the company, along with external new supply chains.

Requirements:

• Full clean driver’s license essential.
• A minimum level 8 Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• 15 years’ total experience, 5 of which need to be in Ireland
• Have experience dealing with Stakeholders
• Experience with Public Works contracts desirable
• Experience with large civils projects such as roads, public realm, drainage/utilities, bulk excavations, water & wastewater.
• Confident, motivated and can work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines.
• Time management abilities to meet targets.
• Good communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Integrity and respect for confidentiality and privacy

Salary:
