Job summary

Dalata Hotel Group is seeking a Conference and Banqueting Manager at Clayton Hotel Sligo to lead the C&B team, plan events, and drive guest experiences. You will report to the General/Deputy Manager and oversee meetings, conferences, weddings, and related functions with a focus on cost-effective operation.

The role requires 2–3 years in management, strong organizational and communication skills, and flexibility to work mid-week, weekends, and evenings in a 3/4-star hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years in a management role.
• Hotel experience in a 3/4-star property is desirable.
• Proven experience in training, motivating, and managing a team to deliver the highest level of service.
• Experience in overseeing large and small functions from start to finish.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Availability to work mid-week, weekends, and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Manage the smooth operation, organization, and setup of all meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and related events.
• Carry out Duty Manager Shifts
• Lead, motivate, and develop a team by company policies and the SOP manual.
• Forecast staffing needs and create rosters based on budget requirements and business levels.
• Implement high standards and procedures in all operations.
• Maximize sales opportunities during the planning and execution phases of functions and events.
• Exhibit excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Effectively delegate tasks, negotiate, and manage team members.
• Be target-driven and ambitious.
• Display creativity and imagination in menu design, food preparation, and presentation.
• Be computer-literate with experience in using email, reporting, and forecasting wages.

What You Will Need
