Job summary

Aureol Global Connections is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to help deliver high-quality surfaces on residential, commercial, and civil projects in Ireland. You will read drawings, set forms, pour, spread, and finish concrete to spec.

This role requires physical fitness, ability to work outdoors in varying weather, and good teamwork to coordinate with Supervisors and trades to keep projects on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in placing, finishing, and curing concrete.
• Skilled with hand and power finishing tools.
• Ability to read construction drawings and take measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Set forms and check levels, alignment, and dimensions.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand and power tools.
• Smooth and finish surfaces using screeds, floats, trowels, and finishing machines.
• Cure and protect freshly poured concrete.
• Work with supervisors and trades to complete projects on schedule.

Job description

The Concrete Finisher prepares, places, and finishes concrete to achieve the required surface texture, appearance, and durability. They work on residential, commercial, and civil construction projects, ensuring concrete meets project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Set forms and check levels, alignment, and dimensions.
• Pour, spread, and level concrete using hand and power tools.
• Smooth and finish surfaces using screeds, floats, trowels, and finishing machines.
• Apply textures, patterns, or decorative finishes as required.
• Edge, groove, and joint concrete to prevent cracking.
• Cure and protect freshly poured concrete.
• Repair and resurface damaged concrete.
• Operate and maintain finishing equipment and tools.
• Follow site safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Work with supervisors, laborers, and other trades to complete projects on schedule.
