Job summary

Crown in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow, seeks a Compliance Officer to join the Compliance & Risk team.

This full-time, hybrid role covers Ireland, the UK and Europe, reporting to the Head of Compliance & Risk and ensuring client, legal and regulatory requirements are met. You will coordinate employee and subcontractor compliance, support mobilisation, maintain certifications, and assist with audits and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain employee compliance records and certification databases.
  • Monitor expiry dates and coordinate renewals.
  • Support mobilisation across Ireland, the UK and Europe (visas, permits).
  • Coordinate subcontractor onboarding and ongoing compliance.
  • Review subcontractor documentation (insurance, training, safety records).
  • Prepare client prequalification submissions and manage portals.
  • Support project mobilisation and project-specific compliance.
  • Assist with accreditations (ISO, Achilles, Safe-T-Cert, CHAS, Avetta, EcoVadis).
  • Maintain compliance trackers, reports, and logs.
  • Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement.
  • Build relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, clients and agencies.

As our business continues to grow, we're looking for an organised and proactive Compliance Officer to join our Compliance & Risk team in Roundwood, Co. Wicklow, with hybrid working available.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Compliance & Risk, you'll support the day-to-day compliance activities of the business, helping ensure Crown meets client, legal and regulatory requirements across Ireland, the UK and Europe.

You’ll coordinate employee and subcontractor compliance, support international mobilisation, maintain certifications and accreditations, and assist with project-specific compliance requirements.

This role would suit someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and enjoys working across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain employee compliance records, training matrices and certification databases.
  • Monitor licence, training and competency expiry dates and coordinate renewals.
  • Support employee mobilisation across Ireland, the UK and Europe, including work permits, visas, A1 certificates and right-to-work documentation.
  • Coordinate subcontractor onboarding and ongoing compliance.
  • Review subcontractor documentation, including insurance, training, competency and health & safety records.
  • Prepare client prequalification submissions and manage documentation on client compliance portals.
  • Support project mobilisation and project-specific compliance requirements.
  • Assist with company accreditations, including ISO Management Systems, Achilles, Safe-T-Cert, Constructionline, CHAS, SafeContractor, Avetta and EcoVadis.
  • Maintain compliance trackers, reports, document control systems and action logs.
  • Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Build strong working relationships with internal teams, subcontractors, clients and external agencies.
About You

We're looking for someone who is organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Previous experience in administration, coordination or compliance.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong document management and administrative skills.
  • Professional, confidential and solutions-focused approach.
  • Experience within construction or engineering.
  • Experience supporting ISO or quality management systems.
  • Experience with workforce mobilisation.
  • Knowledge of subcontractor onboarding and compliance.
  • Experience with certification or accreditation schemes.
  • Third-level qualification in Business Administration, Compliance, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Relevant experience will be considered in place of a formal qualification.
