Job summary

Horizons Cork seeks an experienced Social Care Worker to support both children and adults in Montenotte and Cóbh, coordinating daily operations with the management team. You will deliver person-centred care, create tailored support plans and assist with staff supervision.

The role emphasizes safeguarding, HIQA compliance, and collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote dignity and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Hold professional registration, or be eligible for registration, on the CORU register.
• Schedule 3 qualifications listed in CORU docs.
• Comparable qualification recognised by CORU.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centred care to children and adults with disabilities and autism.
• Assist the management team with day-to-day operations, including staff supervision.
• Develop and implement individual support plans and short breaks passports.
• Support positive behaviour plans for children in respite services.
• Foster relationships with children, families and staff to promote collaboration.
• Support recreational, social and therapeutic activities.
• Ensure compliance with safeguarding HIQA standards and regs.
• Contribute to staff training and team development.
