Job summary

Bluebird Care Ireland is seeking Healthcare Assistants/Homecare Assistants to support clients in New Ross and surrounding areas. You will travel between clients' homes, following each client’s care plan and visiting individually.

Typical visits last about an hour, with tasks including personal care, medication prompts, meal prep, light housework, and mobility support. You’ll be introduced to clients by a Care Manager and have on-call support.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Care of the Elderly and Care Skills, or willingness to complete with support.
• Strong English both written and spoken.
• Full driving licence and own car.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, washing and dressing.
• Provide medication prompts and reminders.
• Prepare meals and perform light housework.
• Offer mobility support and companionship.
• Notice and report changes in client wellbeing.
