Job summary

MedGen Healthcare Ireland is seeking Healthcare Assistants for multiple positions across County Sligo. Earn €20-€45 per hour.

You will support nursing staff, deliver person-centred care, assist with personal appearance and hygiene, and participate in social activities while helping maintain a safe, clean home environment. QQI Level 5 in healthcare and 6 months' experience are required, with fluent English and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 qualification in healthcare (or equivalent).
• Minimum 6 months experience in a healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the nursing staff in delivering person-centred care.
• Getting to know residents’ interests and providing attention, support and companionship.
• Enabling residents to maintain personal appearance and hygiene while respecting dignity.
• Participating in, organising, and carrying out social activities.
• Assisting in maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the home.
• Contributing to Health and Safety within the home.
• Carrying out any other duties as deemed necessary by Nurse in Charge and management.
