Job summary

CareChoice Brookfield Care Centre in Cork is seeking Healthcare Assistants (full-time and part-time) to join a caring team. You will support nursing staff in delivering holistic care, maintain residents’ hygiene with dignity, assist with meals, mobility, and end-of-life care, and participate in a supportive, multi-cultural environment.

Ideally QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or working towards it, with strong communication and English skills.

Qualifications

QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or working towards it.
Desirable previous care setting experience, not essential.
Excellent communication and a warm, caring attitude.
Good English language skills.
Availability for varied shifts: days, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

Supporting the nursing staff in providing high-quality holistic care to residents.
Ensuring residents' hygiene and personal care needs are maintained with dignity.
Assisting residents with eating and drinking according to nutrition needs.
Assisting residents with mobilising and using aids.
Escorting or transferring residents as directed by nursing staff.
Assisting in End-of-Life Care.
Carrying out other duties as assigned by nurse and management.
