Job summary

Direct Medics Ltd invites compassionate Health Care Assistants to join our team for AD HOC agency shifts at Peamount Healthcare in Newcastle, Co. Dublin.

You will provide high-quality patient care, monitor conditions, and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care. Ideal candidates have QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (minimum 2 modules including Care Skills & Care of the Older Person), relevant healthcare experience, and eligibility to work in Ireland.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Healthcare Support (or equivalent – minimum 2 modules including Care Skills & Care of the Older Person)
• Relevant experience in a healthcare setting
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Manual Handling & Patient Moving Training (free of charge)
• Safety Intervention Training (free of charge)
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Personal care: assisting with bathing/showering, washing, shaving, oral hygiene and continence requirements
• General observations and updating patient records; providing support and encouragement to patients
• Manual handling: using hoists/slide sheets
