Job summary

The Rehab Group in Killarney, Co Kerry, invites applications for a Care Worker on a permanent contract (39 hours). You will provide personal care in a residential setting at Mountain View Accommodation Service, delivering dignity, respect and person-centred support while promoting community living.

Applicants should have QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care and experience in residential care. Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential. Closing date 4 November 2026.

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 in Health & Social Care.
• Experience of working in a residential care setting.
• Experience providing supports to service users with disability, including challenging behaviours.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and logistical skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement a person-centred service tailored to service users’ needs, wishes and requirements.
• Assist service users with taking medication in line with policy and procedure.
• Ensure all interactions with service users are conducted with dignity, respect, equality and with person-centred choice.
• Ensure safe transportation of clients in accordance with policy and procedures and using safety equipment as appropriate.
