Nua Healthcare Services is seeking compassionate Assistant Support Workers to join our team. You will provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals across our residential and community services.

The role emphasizes empowerment, independence, and meaningful daily activities within the community. Successful candidates will participate in tailored training, work across a 24/7 roster, and contribute to maintaining safe, supportive environments for people with complex needs.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications are required for this role and comprehensive training and ongoing development opportunities will be provided.
• Previous experience in a support role or relevant life experience is desirable, but not essential.
• A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a genuine passion for supporting individuals to live fulfilling and independent lives.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, families, colleagues, and professionals.
• A full driving licence is required, or candidates must be actively working towards obtaining one.
• Flexibility and reliability to work across a range of shifts in line with service requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with planning and managing their daily activities and routines.
• Providing support to individuals while accessing and participating in their local community.
• Assisting individuals with education, skills development, and achieving their personal goals and outcomes.
• Supporting individuals to develop and maintain independent living skills, including cooking, cleaning, laundry, attending appointments, and maintaining family and social connections.
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of, and adhering to, all Company policies, procedures, standards, regulations, and codes of practice, as far as is reasonably practicable.
• Working flexible shift patterns across a 24-hour, 7-day service to meet the needs of the individuals supported.
