Job summary

Key duties include acting as the main liaison with residents, businesses and elected representatives, coordinating with engineers and authorities, and organising community events.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a liaison, community engagement, or stakeholder management role—preferably within the civil engineering or utilities sector.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to confidently engage with the public, business owners, and political representatives.
• Ability to manage sensitive or complex issues with professionalism and diplomacy.
• Familiarity with infrastructure or construction projects is highly desirable.
• Full driving licence

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and local stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and elected representatives.
• Facilitate clear, timely, and effective communication regarding project activities, timelines, and impacts.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and local authorities to address public concerns and ensure minimal disruption.
• Organise and participate in community engagement events, public information sessions, and site visits.
• Maintain detailed records of stakeholder interactions and assist in resolving issues or complaints efficiently.
• Provide ongoing updates and reports to project managers and other internal teams.
