Job summary

Submit seeks a Community Development Officer for a two-year fixed-term contract based in Naas, Co. Kildare. The role requires extensive experience with diverse groups, a strong grasp of Ireland's International Protection and Refugee Protection programmes, and outreach work.

Driving licence and access to a car are essential. Applicants should hold at least NFQ Level 6 in community development or related field, with excellent communication, report writing, budgeting and IT/data management skills.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in community development with diverse groups.
• Knowledge of Ireland’s International Protection system and related programmes.
• Experience in providing individual support and outreach.
• Experience collaborating with external agencies including voluntary and public sectors.
• Strong understanding of cultural diversity and ability to adapt approach.
• Knowledge of development models for minority ethnic groups.
• Hold a clean Class B Driving Licence and have access to own car.
• Familiarity with public service organisation or ability to learn.
