Job summary

Focus Ireland is seeking a dedicated professional to join the Coffee Shop team, delivering supportive services to single people who are homeless or at risk. Qualifications

• Degree in social care or related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in social care with disadvantaged persons.
• Experience supporting marginalised persons with high risk and challenging behaviour.
• Working knowledge of issues affecting people out-of-home and their development.
• Experience in a team with a shared goal.
• Awareness of child protection issues (desirable).
• Knowledge of homelessness sector (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Work within Focus Ireland objectives and policies.
• Follow Coffee Shop policies and Focus Ireland standards.
• Be vigilant on Health & Safety and report concerns.
• Maintain daily logs, incident reports and contact records.
• Mentor new staff and model good practice.
• Provide monthly reports as required by management.
• Collaborate with other teams and external agencies as appropriate.
• Attend meetings and training as required.

Education

Relevant third level degree in social care (i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology)
