Job summary

At Sodexo Rathdown School in Dublin, a Commis Chef is wanted for term-time work. The role is 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, at €15.50 per hour. This is a hands-on kitchen role supporting the Chef Manager and team to prepare nutritious meals while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or catering environment is desirable.
• A relevant culinary qualification is desirable.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, health & safety and allergen requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
• Good organisation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, cooking and presentation of food to the required standards.
• Support the delivery of menus in line with Sodexo guidelines and customer requirements.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and health & safety.
• Support effective stock control, storage and food cost management.
• Serve customers professionally and provide a welcoming service.

Sodexo is looking for a motivated Commis Chef to join our catering team at Rathdown School.

Working alongside the Chef Manager and wider kitchen team, you’ll support the preparation and service of nutritious, high-quality meals while maintaining excellent standards of food safety, hygiene and customer service.
