Job summary

RPG Recruitment is helping a leading FMCG organisation in Clonmel to recruit a Senior Accountant for the finance team. The role reports to the Finance Manager and serves as a key link between Finance and Operations, including Production, Innovation, ESG, Engineering and Quality.

The successful candidate will work at factory level, develop strong management and leadership capabilities, and support decision-making across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualification with 1–2 years industry experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrate the leadership ability to oversee and develop the accounting administration team.
• Strong IT skills, highly proficient in Excel; experience with Insight is a distinct advantage.
• Interest in the Manufacturing sector and understanding of business/sector.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts to the highest standards on time with supporting details.
• Prepare and review weekly production pack and variance analysis for management purposes.
• Review standard costing versus actual costings for all products.
• Communicate and post intercompany recharges and reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Prepare and submit all regulatory, tax and statistical returns on a timely basis.
• Liaise with the Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budgets.
• Stock control and reconciliations for multiple stock locations.
