Job summary

Three Ireland (Hutchison) Limited is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst to lead strategic finance partnering and drive commercial decisions with senior stakeholders. The role covers planning, modelling and governance to optimise profitability and ensure robust financial governance.

You will own budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, develop advanced financial models and provide clear, commercially focused insights to senior leadership in a fast-paced telecom environment.

Qualifications

• Part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA.
• Experience in commercial finance and business partnering.
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting abilities.
• Advanced Excel; experience with Oracle/Hyperion.

Responsibilities

• Act as the senior finance partner for Commercial leadership, providing strategic financial advice and insights.
• Build relationships with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Retail and Finance.
• Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives and business cases.
• Provide independent financial challenge and identify risks and opportunities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning across portfolios.
• Develop sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses.
• Deliver insightful performance reporting and recommendations.
• Translate complex financial information into clear insights for leadership.
• Own Finance governance across commercial areas with strong controls.
• Lead month-end reviews, executive reporting and group submissions.
• Identify improvements to processes and planning capabilities.
• Promote best practice across commercial finance and governance.

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will operate as a senior finance business partner, providing strategic financial leadership, commercial challenge and insight that influences investment decisions, drives profitability and supports the delivery of Three's commercial objectives.

You will take ownership of complex financial planning, modelling and performance analysis across key commercial portfolios, partnering with senior stakeholders to optimise business performance while ensuring robust financial governance.

Strategic Finance Business Partnering

• Act as the senior finance partner for Commercial leadership, providing strategic financial advice, challenge and insight to influence business direction and investment decisions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Retail and Finance, influencing decision-making through commercial expertise and evidence-based recommendations.
• Lead financial evaluation of strategic initiatives, pricing propositions, commercial investments and business cases, ensuring decisions maximise long-term value.
• Provide independent financial challenge, identifying commercial risks, opportunities and recommendations to improve business performance.

Financial Planning & Commercial Performance

• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning processes across assigned commercial portfolios, ensuring financial plans align with strategic priorities.
• Develop sophisticated financial models, scenario analysis and forecasting methodologies to support strategic planning and investment decisions.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and performance reporting, identifying emerging trends and providing recommendations that drive commercial outcomes.
• Translate complex financial information into clear, commercially focused insights for senior leadership.

Financial Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Own Finance governance across assigned commercial areas, ensuring strong financial control, compliance and accurate Group reporting.
• Lead month-end financial reviews, executive reporting and Group submissions, ensuring financial performance is clearly understood and appropriately challenged.
• Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, reporting and planning capabilities that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Champion best practice across commercial finance, promoting consistency, governance and continuous improvement.

What you'll bring

Skills we're looking for

• Part Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant.
• Significant experience within commercial finance, financial planning or business partnering.
• Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and analytical expertise.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with Oracle, Hyperion or equivalent planning systems experience.

• Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders through commercial insight, financial expertise and constructive challenge.
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance commercial opportunity, financial risk and operational priorities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of translating complex financial information into meaningful business recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and deliver improvements that enhance commercial performance.
