Abrivia Recruitment is partnering with a well-established Irish business in the construction supply sector to appoint a Commercial Director to its senior leadership team. Based in Cork, this on-site role leads the commercial function with responsibility for revenue, margin and customer strategy, reporting to the Managing Director.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' commercial experience, including significant senior leadership experience.
• Proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Experience within a sizeable B2B organisation.
• Experience within construction products, building materials, merchanting or related sector advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial strategy with the MD and leadership team.
• Lead, motivate and develop the commercial team (5-6 direct reports).
• Drive revenue, margin and profitability across the business.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and commercial planning.
• Oversee customer acquisition, retention and key account strategy.
