Job summary

GLF Facades is seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our growing team in Ireland. You will produce precision machine parts by operating CNC equipment while adhering to strict quality and safety standards in a fast-paced factory environment.

You’ll handle loading and unloading materials, set tooling, inspect your parts, maintain tooling and work offsets, perform basic programme edits, and keep the workspace clean and safe. Carpentry or engineering experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a CNC machine.
• Experience working in a fast-paced factory environment.
• Carpentry or engineering experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in machine operation.
• Loading of raw materials & unloading of completed parts.
• Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Inspect own parts and coworkers' work.
• Select tooling and fixtures as instructed.
• Use measurement tools (e.g., micrometres, calipers).
• Adjust tooling and work offsets.
• Edit current programme as needed.
• Ensure dimensions and tolerances meet quality standards.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.

We are currently looking for an experiencedCNC Operator to join our fast-growing, innovative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing machine parts by operating a CNC machine whilst adhering to strict quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Proficient in machine operation
• Loading of raw materials & unloading of completed parts
• Requirement to operate multiple machines simultaneously
• Performs inspections of own parts and co-workers work
• Follows instructions when selecting appropriate tooling and fixtures
• Uses measurement tools such as snap gage, digital callipers, micrometres, optical comparator and other measuring instruments
• Adjusts tooling & work offsets
• Minor editing of current programme
• Ability to make adjustments to assure dimensions, tolerances and quality of parts
• Performs preventative maintenance on equipment including top-off lubricants
• Cleaning responsibilities includes equipment, chip removal and work area
• Follows established procedures as well as quality and safety standards
• Maintains a safe work environment

Experience

• Experience in using power tools/drill.
• Experience working within a fast paced factory environment.
• Carpentry & engineering experience will be an advantage.

• Ability to work on own initiative while contributing effectively to the team environment.
• Ability to read, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to work in a busy production environment.
• Excellent attendance record and willingness to work overtime as and when required.

Work Environment

Machine shop environment will require the use of industrial hearing protection and/or other protective equipment.

Physical demands will require manual handling.
