Job summary

GCS Recruitment seeks a Cloud Security Engineer in Dublin City Centre for a 12-month contract. You will manage Microsoft cloud security services, including Entra ID, Defender suites and Intune, while upholding ITIL-aligned processes.

Ideal candidates will have extensive Azure security experience, strong identity and access management skills and a proactive security mindset to safeguard Azure environments and data.

Qualifications

• Azure AD and Entra ID configuration and administration
• Experience with Conditional Access and MFA workflows
• Knowledge of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and RBAC
• Experience securing Azure environments with network security, encryption and access controls

Responsibilities

• Provide third-line support across infrastructure, cloud and security environments.
• Collaborate with technology teams to deliver projects and operational improvements.
• Follow Incident Management processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain runbooks, SOPs and knowledge base articles.
• Contribute to Data Protection and Information Security governance policies.

Cloud Security Engineer

Location: Dublin City Centre

12 Month Contract

An established organisation undergoing significant technology modernisation is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer. This role is ideal for an engineer with extensive Microsoft cloud security expertise, strong cybersecurity awareness, and experience operating within ITIL-aligned environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Configuration and administration of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including Conditional Access, Identity Governance and Multi-Factor Authentication.
• Implementation and management of Privileged Identity Management (PIM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Deployment and administration of Microsoft Intune for endpoint management, compliance, application deployment and device configuration.
• Administration of Microsoft Defender security solutions including Defender for Endpoint and Defender for Office 365.
• Securing Azure environments through best-practice implementation of network security, firewalls, encryption and access controls.

Key Duties

• Provide third-line support across infrastructure, cloud and security environments.
• Collaborate with specialist technology teams to deliver projects and operational improvements.
• Follow established Incident Management processes and procedures.
• Develop and maintain knowledge base articles, runbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Contribute to organisational policies and governance processes relating to Data Protection and Information Security.
• Ensure support tickets are resolved within agreed service levels and KPIs.

Desired Qualifications

Candidates should hold at least one of the following:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500)
